Major: Pharmacy (This Major's Salary over time)
University of the Sciences: Philadelphia College of Pharmacy is a private university, dedicated towards providing their students with busywork, poor study environments, and incomprehensible profesors. I am very intelligent, friendly, and understanding, however, USP has nearly driven me to anger and intolerance towards others. While racially and culturally diverse, this school has primarily small town HS graduates, Philadelphia urban students, and occasionally a student from the suburbs. USP is also a tiny little school. This means racism and cliques abound. Obviously this 0-6 Pharmacy college is accellerated, but the exams are so poorly written, some of the professors have such horrible accents, and you get an exam every week once you get into 3rd year. USP NEVER releases truthful information about graduation rate. However, in my 3rd year IPPE professional course, which is full of rude and conceited "professors" (pharmacists who are hired by this school), there are only about 150-200 students left out of the origional 400 in the pharmacy field. This school does not fostor learning and understanding, but selfish hording of back-exams, and etc. Sure there are physical therapy students who are happy, but remember, they have less course work. For the cost of attending this school, make sure you are prepared for studying. I mean at least 4 hours a day. I am serious. 1st year is easy. It gets exponentially worse. A Recitation class is for review, yet this entire University treats it as if it is set aside for quizes! I currently have 4 projects, 3 exams, and 5 quizes I am studying for. I have 2 exams this week, two quizes, and an infinite number of classes. You get shut in nerds who brag about their GPA and grades. I have nearly become one. Of course studying is our number one priority, but this school does not foster the growth and maturity of students, but the pettiness of individuals. The clubs here are shit. People are stuck up about being in them and APhA is a lock of crock. Spend 3 years in it, never get a high position. This school will not prepare your for the professional world. It breaks you and fails you. Do NOT come here. Of course every 0-6 program is hard, but from what I've experienced and what I gathered from my fellow students, this school is horrible. DO NOT COME HERE. Textbooks= overpriced. Food= mandatory and overpriced. How is $4 for a bagel? Well here comes mandatory meal blocks. Individual work? Shit. Group work? Shit. You get put into groups. What are we, middle school students?

I have been a great student where I came from, near 4.0 GPA, 2100 SAT, and a somewhat athlete. Don't come here, it broke my spirit and it will break yours. Also, there's racism here. Bleh.

Of course, some professors are brilliant, and some students are wonderfully sweet. If you do come here, keep your head up.
