I have read all of the negative comments that people have posted and many of their bullet points are indisputable. There are a lot of hipsters, "snow bros" and gamers here. There is a lack of athletics and the food, while I find it delicious, can get a little repetitive. But Champlain is so much more than that. I have had the most amazing experiences here and have made so many friends through getting involved. By taking a couple of steps out of my comfort zone I was able to grow so much more. Anyone who complains about the cliques is still living in high school. By approaching new people in social situations such as the many free activities Champlain has on and off campus we are able to connect with people we wouldn't normally connect with. As for sports, there is a men's and a women's rugby team. They compete with other colleges all over New England. Where ever you go there are going to be people with whom you feel out cast or outnumbered by. That is part of going to college.
