TCU had always been that "stretch" school for me all through high school, as it was my top choice. After touring the campus multiple times,I fell in love with how nice the student body "seemed" to be and the beauty of the campus. What you don't get from all those high school tours and frog first camps is the true colors of TCU. Being an out of state student from Colorado, I had no idea was I was getting into when I came here, sadly. The student body is the most pretentious, stuck-up, snooty little rich boy/girl who's daddy pays for everything, that I have ever seen…and I came from a fairly well off family. The diversity here is 100% absent…everybody looks, dresses, and acts all the same. If you are looking for individualism or an opportunity for uniqueness (like I was,) don't even give the thought of this school the light of day. It is way to overwhelmed by the greek life. Students here apparently love being told what to do and how to live their life, I don't get it. Whatever though, if your looking for a crazy southern frat/sorority school where everyone thinks they are the shit, but really are just prepped up zombies, then by all means be a horned frog! Now I don't want to take away that academically this school is excellent, and if your just coming to college for a degree and kinda want to stay out of the social scene, than TCU is great for that. But if your looking for any type of decent social scene, just go to a state school where they actually know how to have a good time. I myself couldn't even stand it anymore and am enrolled to transfer to CU boulder next semester, and could not be more excited to attend a real institution with real students, and a real college experience (outside of the rich TCU bubble.) GO BUFFS! and please please please, unless you fit this TCU mold of students, DONT COME HERE!! dont even try and make it work because it's not worth the tuition anyways.
