Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
At Hondros we pay about $250 a credit hour, most of our (our being a majority of students) credits from prior colleges were not accepted due to the credit hour discrepancy (I took ENG101 at a well know college and am being forced to take ENG100 because hondros eng is 5 credit hours and mine was only 4? so im paying $900 for an english that is irrelevant at any other college because I had already taken a higher level english) Also, I took anatomy I at columbus state, where we had cadavers and did disections on a regular basis, but those credits didn't transfer either, I had to take intro to anatomy and physiology where the only visual aide was a skeleton they brought out once the entire quarter? our financial aide takes forever to get dispersed, at any other college its usually in proper accounts within a few weeks of school beginning, at hondros, I have waited once until the break AFTER the quarter was over to get my refund? their student aid guy is extremely hard to get ahold of and most of the time doesn't reply to emails or calls. All of the clinical sites are at retirement homes, no hospitals, or anything for a change in experience, most of it is nurse aide stuff like bed baths and bedpans, all for $250 a credit hour. You can get your LPN in a year with no waiting list is the only good thing this school has going for it, but the rest of the facets of their nursing program and being a college in general is a joke, especially concidering how much we pay for school. Also they do have one copy machine, for 10 cents a page, and a school library with no books and you have to bring your own paper to print. Where does all of our money go?
