I will admit that it is easy to write many of these reviews off as being the complaints of people who are simply impossible to please because that's what I was advised to do; however, I can say with full confidence that is not the case here. I suppose the fact that we were told not to speak negatively about the school during SOAR should have been a red flag.Dillard can and will lie to you. The reason most people leave this school? Because they couldn't cut it at such a "tough" school. Don't buy it. While it is true you will have plenty of work, the majority of it will be busy work. I can't remember the last time we did something engaging. Upperclassmen have admitted that they haven't learned anything here, but they know this school looks good on a resume. That sentiment alone paints a perfect picture of Dillard University. They are so busy telling everyone how great they are that they have forgotten (assuming they ever knew) how to actually be a great university.Advice: please research your colleges and universities, and do not ignore obvious issues (e.g. 6-year graduation rates below 50%, median ACT being a 20, frighteningly low retention rates, etc. Dillard has all of the aforementioned problems.)
