Do you mind if I ask you what college you attended before UVA? |
Do they have some type of Tutoring Program? |
I'd like to know what other school you attended, also. |
Major: PreMed and Medical (This Major's Salary over time)
I transferred here for UVa's name. As a pre-med student, you want to get straight A's, and it helps to get straight A's from a big name university. However, I now quite clearly see my transfer was a mistake. At my old university (another VA school, not a community college), I was treated as an individual and professors were always available. Here, professors have told me straight that their research is more important than their students. Go to this school if you are willing to work on your own to get involved in the research community. In that sense, UVa is a great school. As a pre-med, though, I'm in my 3rd year, and I still have classes with over 400 kids. It is ridiculous. Not only did my old school not have TAs, but, now, even in TA office hours there are over 15-20 students. There is no individual attention.
