Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
I really liked EIU because of the atmosphere, and the fact that I was a special ed major made it especially appealing. The classes are really no harder than your average high school class, if anything I'd say high school was harder. The course work is mostly busy work and then that just builds up to a test…I didn't go to my psych class for 3 weeks and still got a B on the test and a B in the class. The night life is really only good if you go to the bars, but you'll just end up blowing a ton of money, and they close at 1 anyways so you're stuck after that. You honestly really have no hope of making many friends unless you go greek, and unless you get into one of the top sororities or frats, you're just going to be judged by everyone. The food isn't that bad, but the dorms suck. You can't change rooms or floors unless it's an extremely serious issue or "judicial". The school isn't flexible and the advisors are not very good at their jobs.Overall, I just wouldn't go to EIU, I plan on transferring next year!
