There are pro's and con's to this university.

Pros:

Well-recognized school, although for athletics, not too much for academics.

BEAUTIFUL campus

Cons:

Professors and TA's are hit-and-miss. Some really care, and some don't give a crap and treat you like a number.

School is a bit too engaged in athletics for my taste. I love football, don't get me wrong, but you tend to see all the new facilities go to athletics.

Out-of-state tuition is ridiculous if you ask me. 25k for a state school is too much, and scholarships are not as easy to get as prospective student services makes them out to be.

Academic advisers are horrible. Make sure you look over what they advise you to do. They have been known to advise you into a class you don't need. Also, when you get into upper level classes, you will find that they fill up REALLY quick, and you end up stuck refreshing your browser waiting for someone to drop the course.

Advice:

DON'T JUST TAKE A TOUR OF THE CAMPUS AND DECIDE TO COME HERE. Sit in on a class for a while and see what the university is like through a students eyes, not just what they want you to see.

Don't get me wrong, I do like going here. Norman's a cool town, the campus is beautiful, and the athletics department makes Fall semesters really fun. The academics in the business school are decent, Would I go somewhere else if I had to do it over again? Probably.
