The
student services at CCC are the ABSOLUTE WORST of any
college. I got a free ride through the state STARS
program, but the amount of paperwork required was prohibitive to
getting my scholarship. We would send in a form, and
then they'd say “oh thanks, but you still need....” one
after another, instead of just telling me right off. It
got to the point where the deadline had passed because
of this nonsense so I had to go into the
FA office personally to negotiate something, whence I could hear
the head of the FA department ranting like a little
kid about me “waiting till the last minute".... Avoid visiting
an advisor at ALL COSTS. They just try to shove
you out, even the nice ones, and give you classes
that are spread throughout the days and weeks. ***Just grab
a course catalog and go to camdencc.edu and click on
webadvisor in the top right; you can choose all your
classes by yourself and there's even a tool that shows
you if they fill req's and all that.****
The faculty,
however, has been very outgoing and nice to me, at
least so far. Most say they wont allow make up
quizzes/exams, but I've overheard them making exceptions for students.
Although I have not been to any of the office
hours, the teachers make sure it's known by the class
when the hours are.
Teachers I have emailed have responded
promptly.
