Good afternoon! I recently had problems in college and decided that I urgently needed the help of a professional writer. I consulted with my classmates and did not tell me about www.affordable-papers.net. I realized that this is a great site that has very affordable prices and also provides all students with a discount code, which you will find on the site! |
Major: Other (This Major's Salary over time)
Okay so everyone PLEASE read this. I feel obligated to dispute many of the claims made on this site, but also to agree with some. Bit of background first… I am a white female from the Hudson River Valley area of NY. Majoring in health sciences, conc in clinical laboratory sciences. I am a sophomore.Alright so here I go…COMPLAINT at SBU you are just a number in the huge lecture classes.TRUTH: yes, there are many huge lecture classes, yet I've never felt like just a number. Lectures have stadium seating so you are never straining to hear or see. All lectues are recorded and put online so you can watch it if you didn't understand or were absent. Get to class early the first few days and get a seat close to the professor for better communication and connection.COMPLAINT the professors speak a different language and you can't understand their accentsTRUTH many professors have an accent, yet once you get used to it, they are fairly easy to understand. I've yet to meet a professor that won't repeat something that you didn't catch, or rephrase it. All lectures as I said are recorded so you can re listen if necessary, though ive never had to do that due to an accent. The benefits of these teachers outweigh the negatives; they have more personal stories and a wider somewhat worldly perspective.COMPLAINT there's no social lifeTRUTH there is if you try! Yes, half the campus goes home on weekends, yet there are about 20000 students… Half gone? Leaves ten thousand still there. No, maybe we don't have the biggest weekend parties, but there are activities to do. There are over 200 clubs. Join a few and you'll have something to do. Resident halls usually have pizza nights, Board game nights, etc on the weekend to entertain you. There are usually concerts or plays or festivals once or more a month. There are a decent number of club sports for you to play recreationally, and there is a mall five minutes awayOverall, I love SBU and wouldn't transferout for the world.
