Major: Undecided (This Major's Salary over time)
One thing that every student can agree on is that the campus is very beautiful. "Students" here often joke and call it a 'Country Club University." The campus is very safe which is nice to know. Now add the people. Including undergraduate and graduate students, there are about 2,400 students here: 25% are from other countries, and 75% are from the U.S. Within the American student population, about 70% are from somewhere in the northeast region. The rest of the 5% of students are from somewhere in Florida or some other part of the country. I happen to not be from the northeast or another country, nor am I from Florida. If you happen to be like me, don't come here! The school is diverse in a way. It's diversity contains wealthy north easterners, wealthy international students on trust funds, and wealthy students from other parts of the U.S. The academics are seriously a joke. If you are serious about academics, like me, then do not come to Lynn unless it's your only option for college. If that is so, then I would only advise that it is a stepping stone school for you to transfer elsewhere. I am a freshmen here and I already know that I will be transferring to larger state school in the real south. You really are buying your degree here. If you are like me and would rather actually work hard to EARN your grades, then this is not the school for you. Now onto the nonexistent social life here, it is pathetic. College is supposed to have a social life on campus. The only time there is ever anything happening on campus is when there are a lot of perspective students touring the school or during parents weekend. It is hilarious how the school, is trying to set things up during those times. Everything happens off campus, and by that I mean most of the students go to clubs around the South Florida area. Don't let the campus scene fool you when you visit. The campus is a ghost town on the weekends. The admissions department is one of the things here that really amazes me. They are really good at selling this school. When I visited as a senior in hs, I absolutely loved the campus. When I got here as a freshmen, my entire view changed. Nothing is really happening on campus other than when there are classes and people are walking to and from them. One more thing, look up "Lynn University" on urbandictionary.com because most of it is so true.
