I don't know how to begin this review. I mean, what can I say that hasn't already been said? I came to NIU because I foolishly believed that it was a school that would challenge me both mentally and academically. I was wrong. Just to re-touch on what has already been said, I will list all the common negatives that other reviewers have said that are TRUTHS about this school:

1)Shitty Dorms, especially Neptune a.k.a the Dekalb Projects, 2)Socially and morally retarded alumni (Racist, Condescending)

3)ZERO weekend social life (Everyone LITERALLY packs up and leaves back home for the weekend. You can see the students walking to their cars with their belongings.)

4)Two color shade system (Everyone is either Black or White, on rare occasions you can catch a glimpse of brown or yellow minorities (Hispanics or Asians))

5)Lackluster GYM (A bunch of broken down treadmills adorn the basement-like rooms, and turned to face the windows so that your focus is not the dilapidated aqua-cyan colored walls. I mean seriously who was the interior decorator, Charles Manson?)

6)Crime-ridden, country hick ass town Dekalb (Every day you read about rapes, gangs, violence, and murder in the paper so thoughtfully provided around campus)

7)Last but not least, CRAP-tacular education provided by sub-par teachers that seemed to have been gathered from a homeless shelter.

Final thoughts: AVOID this school. PLEASE LISTEN TO REASON. Unless you like pissing away your money.
