Did you love the way you were treated in High School? Such as being treated like you are 5 years old? Well if that's the case then you should probably come to NDC. I'm in my second year here. I am currently a double major in marketing and communications but I'm switching to Early Childhood Education next semester..along with switching schools. Notre Dame sucks. straight up. I thought it was going to be such an amazing school when I applied and enrolled. I was told I would be a name not a number like at bigger universities but they treat us like we're in high school. I came here for two sports, both which I quit. One of them I've been doing since I was 3 the other since 3rd grade and this school made me HATE doing them. It was the only school I looked at and applied to. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE! They just started to block random websites from our personal computers like we're in high school still. The advisors don't know what they are supposed to do for their jobs and the professors simply don't know how to teach. I have a teacher right now that I had last year and you don't have to do anything in the class to pass with an A or even a B+. He has us watch random youtube videos and then talks about stuff that doesn't apply to our course work. I'm a pretty intelligent student; I like to be challenged. NDC doesn't challenge you. I have another teacher who is a nun and can't hear, and speak very good english and taught the same lesson 3 weeks in a row and was convinced that she never taught it…she's like 85 years old. With my major, I was told I would graduate in 5 years from NDC…I'm transferring to Bowling Green State University next semester and I would have graduated in 3.5 with my old major. 1.5 years with my new one. Oh and did I mention that there is seriously not enough parking spots? There have been sooo many times that I've had to park on the other side of campus because there is nowhere to park near my (crappy) dorm. With all the random fines they make us pay you would think they would make more parking spaces…but no. So please, think twice, three times…just think ALOT before coming to this school.
