I really liked NVCC - it changed my life. When I went to school I was very committed to succeeding so I could transfer to UVA, and I did. If you have the desire/opportunity to join the Honor's Program, do it! The professors and advisers are great! I feel that is what made a big difference in my experience compared to other students who feel the faculty is less invested. Indeed, there are incompetent people in certain departments, particularly pre-nursing, which I was intending to do before I decided to pursue a 4 year degree. If you intend to go the RN route, join some online forums becuase those are actually more helpful at advising people. Also, I think campue locations vary. Alexandria & Annandale seem to have better reputations than some of the others. Overall, I had a great experience and am really happy with what I received for such a low cost.
