I want to start this review by saying, I will never recommend this school to anyone, friend or enemy. First off, there are about 500 parking spots, and over 23,000 students! I pay for parking, yet need to park off of campus, about a half mile out, every day, even past midterms when a lot of the students drop courses. If you have an issue, just forget about it. Whichever department you go to, will send you in circles, since no-one wants to bother answering, or even helping to correct the issue you have at hand. Most of the teachers have hundreds of students, so they really couldn't care less about them. In one of my classes, the seating is so tight that both of my legs are touching the people next to me. I am average height and average weight. The table tops in certain classrooms are about 8 inches wide, and 12 inches long, seriously? This has to be some sort of joke. Want to use the bathroom, gentlemen? Well, you'll be standing in a puddle, with toilet paper up to the brink, rebounding your own urine right onto your clothes. Time to wash hands? Hah! This school believes in spit shining since they have gone weeks without soap in some bathrooms. Some bathrooms have about 10 stales/urinals combined. Yet one hand dryer, and they NEVER have paper. The hand dryers are faulty, they blow air that can't even be considered warm, so there is normally a line to use it. Most of the sinks only have cold water, while some, I can't define as "warm," lukewarm would be giving it the benefit of the doubt, even. Walking the hallways? Have fun in that obstacle course. Most students that conjugate in the hallways don't line up against the wall to chat, they form a line or circle directly in the middle forcing everyone to swerve in and out of traffic. Most of the staff us arrogant. Want to speak with a counselor? Sign in, hope your name doesn't get skipped over(I've had that happen nearly half of the time I've been there!), and leave to grab lunch because the wait is at least 2 hours. The Commons area, beautiful? Wrong. Nothing short of a jungle in there. Fine, let me go to the Library and do some homework. It's a quieter version of the jungle, but a jungle nonetheless. Nowhere is there a spot to do homework or study quietly. Teachers never have chalk. Teachers never know how to use the projector. Teachers are always late. There should be no smoking on school property, but there is, and plenty of smoking areas too, in too general of an area for my liking. They do offer a shuttle for those parking far away. But it's a catch 22. Sure, you'll MAYBE get to class a little sooner, but you also have a greater chance of catching aids in that 70's love shack buss. You'd think with all the parking everyone is paying, and no spots, they would have extra money to purchase a vehicle worthy of driving students around. The school also loses credibility because of the Cranford neighborhood. This is the most arrogant and stuck up community I've ever come across. They want to have nothing to do with the youth today. It makes you wonder why they moved into a town with such a large college if they hate everyone that attends it. Cranford residents blocked extra parking from happening at this college. I've written enough negatives for you to understand my dis-pleasures with this school. These are only the major, general points that pertain to everyone attending it. So please, take this into consideration. County colleges are great, but there's really nothing to see here, go elsewhere when considering a college, please!
