Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
I was in the Graduate Level Teacher Preparation program and therefore paid graduate student prices for classes that were really just undergraduate level. Ouch. I had mostly adjunct faculty for the program when, at these prices, really should have had fully qualified professors. One professor was waiting to be approved for medical leave and later arrested for online sex sting! Needless to say he had little motivation while in class. The poor replacement did a fine job but was unprepared to take over the class. All this at a cost of $1500 per student.Lastly, the instructors continuously told us career changers that schools would be eager to higher us because we have 'life experience' and are 'older'. Simply, not true and not proven as far as I can tell. The staff was always friendly but my experience at Rider and subsequent job prospects (depite my excellent grades) has not been worth the nearly $13,500 I spent for the five classes and student teaching experience.
