As a 1970 Graduate of LeTourneau College, my experience was at it's peak. Although the infrastructure left a little to be desired back then, the total experience of this college for a technical student was second to none. The Machine tool, welding, Auto diesel, aviation airframe, powerplant, and all engineering labs were conducted at the highest level and the faculty was the most competent anywhere. The curriculum evolved heavy amounts of practical experience in lab time for every hour of class time. Hardly a day goes by in my 40 year career path that I haven't drawn on some experience or concept learned formally or incidentally at LeTourneau. Sadly, through the years "The Tech" has lost it's link with industry, focus and become just another community college.
