Okay i have lots to say about SUNY Oswego.  I dont beleieve in discouraging you from coming here only telling you the facts.

Night Life

Lets start off with this since this is what most people care about.  THERE are parties every week most of the time.  yes a contranidction.  The school is frat- dominated , meaning if you want to have fun you are most likely going into a frat party.

However here is a typical frat party, balls to walls crowded, a majority arent sausage fest, they try to take advatange of you and charge 5 dollars at the door but kick you out of 10min later if it is filled or ran out of beer (which is often ).  The goal of most party throwers is to get as much people in, tell people there are like 5 kegs.  Then lie about the amount they have left and go to the bars.  Oh Yeah an Oswego party starts @ 9 PM 9/10 TIMES AND ENDS AT 12 AM 8/10 TIMES

You will have to search high and low for a party, and some house parties are hard to come by.  Some of the best parties are on the main road which is crawling with cops. The only way you would get drunk if you 'pregame' because you are only getting 2 beers if you leave for a party at 9 and 7 if you leave at 830.

Minority

If you are a minority in oswego good luck.  Unless you can cut hair or find someone in the school, your ceasar it going to be an afro.  The Black frat try hard too make the stay here fun.  But it is a dead cause.  Dont get me wrong they do ALOT of events , but if are used to dubbing at a party or club you will miss it.  There are no urban or popping clucbs in Oswego nor the surrounding area.  Sometimes they have a night like once a month , but you will need a ride.

It also seemed by the middle of October everything slowed down.  I am not looking forward to the Spring semester due to all the fucking snow and dickheads
