Major: Education (This Major's Salary over time)
I feel like I paid 20K for a piece of paper - granted a piece of paper that would get me more money - but money was not my first reason for getting a Masters. Paid twice as much as other grad programs. Having a BS in Biology and a background in informal education I was already well versed in how to create lesson plans and the knowledge to back it up. What I REALLY needed from the program was the psychology of pre-teens and teenagers, and major, major work on classroom behavior management. Only after graduating did I discover "The Skillful Teacher". This should have been a textbook for an entire course to provide experience, feedback and knowledge.
