Grinnell is not for everyone but it does not falsely advertise. The academic experience has been outstanding and I feel well prepared for graduate school. Grinnell has been generous with its scholarship (given a second scholarship my junior and senior years without asking)and opportunities (paid expenses for seminars). If you are doing great work, they will work to keep you (in terms of finances). I have made a lot of friends and the students are very collaborative with work. There is very little cheating and none of the during class you find in state schools and high school. The downside for me has been the weather and the lack of much to do in town. There is a lot of drinking which is probably a biproduct of the cold, long winter and the lack of local entertainment.
