Sewanee is often undervalued as a college of superior academics. Sewanee courses are rigorous, but University faculty are almost always available to help you. Classes are usually very small, so it is easier to get a more personal and individualized experience, as opposed to larger schools. The university provides many opportunities to be involved in clubs, sports, extracurriculars, and programs such as study abroad. The many Sewanee traditions give it a unique asthetic appeal and social life.
