Major: Computer Science (This Major's Salary over time)
This used to be a decent 2 year school that has since cashed in on the recent mindset of 'Everyone Must Go To College'. It is really a place for people with special majors (horse, auto, agriculture) or most cases for people who were either too poor (me) or didn't really want to go to school and just needed a place to exist. Most of the four year programs are a joke that were instituted to milk more money from the state via financial aid. This school is great if you are a C student and just want a degree that will get you a $30k/yr job with a $30k degree. If you want to achieve anything, or if you take your studies seriously, or if you even just want a decent college that has a nice campus life, DON'T GO HERE. There is a reason that only 18% of the students graduate. The population (especially in the fall before people get kicked out/drop out) leaves a lot to be desired. Yes you can find your niche of friends, but the majority of the students make you wonder how most of them graduated high school. Side note..last semester alone I witnessed 15 people come out of the stalls without washing their hands. It's just not a really good school if you have more than 5k to spend/semester on your education, or if your there for anything more than a refund check. The professors are generally nice and try hard, but sometimes we wonder if they got mail-order PhD's. The school is good at selling itself so don't let them fool you. They will take something insignificant and make it sound amazing, like the shop 24, which is just a vending machine but is their prize possession. So all in all if your not a Equine/massage therapy/auto/agriculture person, I wouldn't waste the time, statistics show that if you go here within one semester you'll leave anyway.
