Bryn Mawr is a very diverse, welcoming school. I have loved every moment so far. There are so many opportunities in Bryn Mawr - I've tried varsity athletics although I've never been an athlete, I'm part of many clubs and many volunteering programs, Study Abroad is highly encouraged, and summer opportunities for internships are bountiful. If anyone attends Bryn Mawr they are basically set for life. The reason I chose Bryn Mawr is because of the people. Aside from challenging academics, brilliant and dedicated faculty, and a self governing environment, Bryn Mawr earns most of its uniqueness from its students. The students are phenomenal. Most everyone I know have vast ambitions, dreams, and goals. There is absolutely no competition between students, but there is a push of inner evolution within each student. Grades are hushed and speaking about them = no no, absolutely no focus on grades - rather, a focus on LEARNING and UNDERSTANDING and THINKING FOR ONESELF. Alumni are amazing and so helpful. I love my friends so much - of who are from all around the world. I'm so happy to have chosen this school. Bryn Mawr challenges conventions, breaks boundaries, and advocates growth and evolution in every which possible way. There is no other place in the world like it.
