Belhaven University

I am a student athlete in my freshmen year at Belhaven College and to be honest the expirence has been disapointing. If you do not fit into the nitch of hard core artist,dancer, or theater student you probably wont enjoy being at the campus. The school is small, too small! its about a block long with eight building including the dorms. The school has next to no extra curricular activities and you see the same people everyday 6 times a day, no surpises their. you wake up everyday and do the same as you did the day before; its definantly a different type of bordom, the kinda stuck in the same day bordom. The curriculme is easy and you feel as though your teachers are giving asignment just so you can have a grade. Every athlete i've talked to have said if it wern't for sports they'd neve attend this school. The school pride is non-existant. The athletec facilaties are ok but nothing spatacular. Probably as good as a D5 or 6 high school. I food here is bland. The area surronding the campus can be dangerous but i've personly never been in a bad situation. If you are looking for somewhere to go party, find love, meet a number of new people, ethnicity, and backgrounds, this is not the school for you as for the art, dance, and theatre majors you guys would love and fit right in a Belhaven College. The small class rooms make it easy to contact teachers although they may only be of so much help with the limited recource. Some teacher are very bais due to the Christian nature of the school which can sometime interfear with certaint teaching of subjects.
