Major: Agriculture/Horticulture (This Major's Salary over time)
I've been involved in the viticulture / enology program. This program, at least while I've been involved, has been a mostly positive experience. I've been able to make contacts in the local wine industry, make some very nice wines, and learn about cultivating grapes. There is good support for obtaining internships in the local industry as well. The program has had its ups and downs but offers some great opportunities. I've seen people who apply themselves do great things - move on to Cal Poly, UC Davis, and Fresno state.

What you get out of the program is directly proportional to what you put into it. While I've seen really smart motivated people do well, I've also seen people who are doing just enough to get by, and yet they still get good grades. This can be frustrating for the serious students who might wonder whether they really understand the material. Still, if you want to succeed here and study hard there are excellent opportunities.
