I recommend this school. It's the only one I ever wanted to attend, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. That said, I am part of the honors program, which provides individualized attention, priority registration, and special honors courses, so my experience may be somewhat atypical. Prospective students should really look into Macaulay Honors at CUNY. I like Hunter because there are so many things one can study here; literally, probably over a thousand courses are taught each semester. I've taken classes from a variety of departments, simply because they seemed interesting. I think attending this college has augmented my critical thinking abilities and given me a broader perspective. I've tried to involve myself in extracurricular activities at the school, namely through sports, and although engagement is difficult, it is still possible. I think, like any experience, Hunter is what one makes of it. Research professors and classes before taking them, and one can come out with an excellent education. It is a little known secret that Hunter hires countless professors with PhDs from elite institutions - Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Columbia, etc. - you will find them all here at Hunter.
