The people at TIU are mixed. There are people from all over. The diversity is excellent. The cliques at TIU are noticeable. You are judged like any school. I think there are quite a few girls who have conceited personalities and need to learn how to treat others. On the other hand, there are girls who are down to earth and do not act immature competetitve or judgemental. It is good to get involved to stay busy. If you are not in clubs or busy with work, you will be lonely. Also, the guys here are easier to get along with. Some of the girls gossip and act rude, but that is just a warning that they are not worth being friends with,If you choose good friends based on the right things: their values, (not social status) you will be fine. make sure you have a group of friends who understand and support you and do not judge you or gossip behind your back. Avoid drama creating cliques and you will have a great journey socially. Academically, TIU is strong but sometimes is not challenging and the classes can have some very distracting noisy students who are rude. The professors are good except when they ignore the rude people who whisper like they are in elementary school during class.
