Ursinus College is a wonderful small liberal arts college. I got into many schools that, according to the numbers, are "better" than Ursinus. I ended up choosing Ursinus to attend, and I have never regretted my decision. As a Junior with an Environmental Studies major and Psychology minor, my classes are filled with intellectual, dedicated students who truly find the material interesting (even if they do not, they still do their work, come to class prepared, and participate in class discussion).

The Student Activities Office offers many options for non-alcoholic weekend activities, including: trips to New York City, trips to the Camden Aquarium, trips to Philadelphia, discounted movie tickets, live musicians, comedians, and hypnotists, and many others. There is always something to do here - whether it be getting involved in student organizations, intramural sports, or taking advantage of one of the SAO-planned trips.

I will admit that the classes that I was required to take freshman year were difficult to endure - not because of the material (which I learned a lot from), but because of the students. This is because there are many first year students (at ANY university) who come to college immature and irresponsible. Please, do not let these students get to you. Students who do not take their academics seriously are asked to leave the college. I promise you, they will be gone, and once you begin your upper level courses during sophomore year, things will change.
