I was a full time employee working a lot of hours to support my family and Strayer was an accessible option for school. In my experience I feel that the content of the program was well rounded, instructors had real industry experience, and materials were relavent to my degree program. As an example, my business law professor is a lawyer, my computer programming instructor was a programmer, and my Contracting instructor had worked as a business development manager for a major corporation and was at the time a GS-15 in the Government, and my finance instructor was a full time employee by the Marine Corops as a financial analyst. This brought a real since of practical experience where the instructor would tell you we will cover it however it's not used.

On the down side of things in my opinion, it was very difficult to cover that much material in the books. This was on a quarter system and 20 chapters is to difficult to cover in 12 weeks of instruction (quarter system.) One other problem was on-line classes were the most work. I tried to avoid them because you almost had to teach yourself. It was tough! Lastly I feel that thier is no sense of success from the school alumni. If Strayer could do better it would be to create an environment where the alumni are proud about there accomplishments and not just complain about the price they paid for school. This school is a working class envioronment and very serious about improving thier chances of employment and pretty cut throat in review. I have been looking at Masters Programs and probably won't attend only because I feel that I won't have a support of the Alumni in the future. What I'm getting at… do you see a Strayer Grad driving around with that on there license plate or hanging a banner in there house? My recommendation is that if you have to go to school then I would have went to a school where the alumni are a team and would look out for each other down the road. That would be my biggest complaint.
