I am so so so glad I decided to go to The University of Dayton over schools such as Ohio State and Miami University. The atmosphere at UD is hands down better than any college I had toured. It has such a comfortable and laid back way about it that really makes it feel like your second home. The people at Dayton are probably some of the coolest and friendliest people I have ever met. Random strangers will make the effort to smile, open a door, say hello, or ever start up a conversation with you. It is really easy to make friends at UD as well. Before coming to UD I was most worried about not making any friends; however, within the first day of orientation I made so many friends that I still hang out with on a daily basis and they have become some of my closest friends! For the social scene, I believe that having a student neighborhood right on campus makes everything ten times as fun as any other college. You can go house to house to house and have a great time at each and every house party. If you are not into drinking and partying then DO NOT WORRY! There are tons of things to do besides go to the ghetto. Artstreet in particular hosts concerts and has movie nigh every Friday night. Brown street is also a good place to go and have fun without alcohol. Also, no one at UD pressures anyone to drink! Just some last minute thoughts:
