This is my first year here and quite honestly, it was my back up school after my first choice had a huge issue with transfer on campus housing, thus there wasn't enough room. I knew the school had some "kinks" but I didn't know how bad they were until my first semester.

Firstly, if you're of liberal political leanings, non-White, non-heterosexual and non-Christian, DO NOT COME. I am not joking, you will find yourself in a concentrated batch of practically everything wrong with the world. You are forced to listen to chapel services on why every other religion or belief system in the world is abhorrent and you are taught to go save the "little brown babies".

Some faculty and administration spew out nonsense about other religions in which they know NOTHING about. Constantly perpetuation false stereotypes, such an attitude trickles down into the student body. Don't you dare criticize anything in the Bible or the Southern Baptist denomination or you're accused of persecution (hilarious).

As of late, we've had Refuge ministries on our campus to

help those impacted my homosexuality.
Which is a joke. Even after the first visit and few students opposed them, the school STILL allowed them on campus, to harass students. There was an incident in which one student walked to their booth and they surrounded him. It was humiliating and repulsive. Sexuality is private.

The cafeteria and living conditions are sub par at best. Do not fall for their bull on preview day. All dorms are poorly insulated and therefore, when winter comes, we're freezing. You can hear rats and mice in the ceilings, some of which dig their way into your room. Mold is everywhere and maintenance NEVER comes when you request for them.

When they do just so happen to show up, they do a half job and bull around. Also, the internet is severely censored. It isn't just blocked porn (which I have no problem with), but locking safe mode on anything deemed "unchristian." So good luck watching a video with a vulgar word in the title or if it has anything to do with sexuality and important issues. They'd rather you stay in the dark.

If I had the choice, I'd transfer to another university, but since I only have a year left, I might as well finish it out.

But to others - do not come, you're better off elsewhere.
