Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
I graduated in '07 with my BS in Biomedical Sciences and Biomedical Physics. What is it they say? You only appreciated what you have till it's gone. Well that was definitely me. I could not wait to get out of USF not because I was disgusted but because I was tired. Being a Natural Science major at this school is not easy, the course is challenging but any serious student expects that and the end result is a professional ready to move forward with a rock solid foundation. No I wasn't a book worm, I partied it up in ybor and clear water just like everyone else, I went to football games when USF football wasn't even known and I took part in Organizations on campus but at the end of the day I knew my priority was alway my education and like many have said on here the education you get out is the effort and hours you put in. Today the school Im at for my graduate work is small, it isn't even considered a traditional university, yet everything is still done by paper, people in financial aid and the registrars office and even 60% of the professors don't speak English and the ones that do are rude! At USF I took for granted how easy Oasis made things simple, I took for granted being able to call a department make an appointment to speak to a chair and then actually have them call you with in a day or two. I recently visited USF and saw the huge new water fountain, the state of the art Interdisciplinary sciences building and the new Marshall center, all of which were not there when I was there. For those who say they don't have enough course offerings look around its the entire state! Welcome to the value of education at our states government. USF is a great school and if they had the program I was in search of I would have never left. I will always bleed Green & Gold..
