Date: Feb 23 2012 Major: Communications (This Major's Salary over time) ECSU shaped who I am today providing life experience and the perspective of diverse relationships. When I see the negative comments about the school there are some tha are fair and others that are well off base. The school (at least during my time) could have been more challenging academically and I say that as an average student who should have applied more efforts. The social life at Eastern is based completely on what you make of it and if you are not an aggressive social "self starter" I can feel closed off. My closest friends to this day are from ECSU…we are family. The campus is gorgeous and though the city has a less than stellar rep, the people are good people when you meet them and the area has charm. If a large prestigious university with an entitled network is what you want - Easten is NOT for you. If you want breath taking New England atmosphere with solid relationships - personal & professional - it's a place valuable beyond it's reasonable price tag…As for me I will always look fondly & proudly at my time coming of age at ECSU.
