Major: Sociology (This Major's Salary over time)
I have attended other colleges prior to this "university" and this experience was not good. I spent more time calling financial aid, housing, registrar for issues that the school was not addressing than I did for actually doing work for school. Leaving students on hold, not returning phone calls, giving you the run around. Students are really put last here. If you are a sports player though, you have it made—study? whats that? but still get good grades…right—they must just know everything without studying!! But make sure that the ATHLETIC fee is put on all of the students tuition fees—can't forget that. I missed the other schools when I was at this one. Some of the instructors I had made the college experience very miserable—nasty, rude, unwilling to answer questions. Some were really good. The housing dept. forget it—rude, nasty, all they care about is getting your money. The housing a TOTAL DUMP. MOLD on the WALLS, in the stairs, the shower. Horrible conditions but make sure you pay your housing on time or there will be late fees. This university is the classic example of people there to collect a pay check and care about nothing else. Horrible would never recommend this place to anyone and will be going to another University for masters. Plus we pay all this money for "technology" fees half the time you can't even access Blackboard or school email is down—that is really helpful when you have to get assignments turned in for online classes. Take my word for it—find another school. Also, the area around the school is run down—nothing to do. The reality is all universities are there to make money but there are some out there where you get treated with respect and you feel like the money you are putting toward your education is worth it- not here. The best is when you call and ask about a "misc" fee on your tuition bill. The response is…"That is just a "misc" fee. You ask for what? "I am not sure, that's a good question" End result…you still don't know but if you don't pay, you get dropped from classes.
