After being accepted here, I did an outrageous amount of googling to see what this college is really like. I found many negative comments in the shuffle, and began to worry if I would have any fun coming here. If you're in a similar situation, I would say to just let college happen. SIUC is amazing. Seriously, everyone is super friendly, and approachable. If you walk into a house party, no one will ask you "Who do you know?" or "Why are you here?". Everyone wants to meet new people, and have a good time. After only a week, you'll make more friends, and meet more people than you thought possible, and it will seem as if you guys have know each other for much, much longer. This school is amazing.
