I am torn about Pepperdine University. On one hand, I have a made a few great friends who I will keep for the rest of my life in just one short semester and a half. On the other hand, this school has no social life outside of sororities a fraternities and athletic teams. The academics however are very good and challenging and the professors in the sports medicine department are helpful especially if you go to office hours and get to know them better. The campus is absolutely beautiful and it feels like a resort. I forget how nice it is until I go visit friends on other campuses. Pepperdine is raising tuition next year to almost 43,000 and housing to almost 13,000. I don't have a scholarship, just a few loans and my family is paying the rest. Im starting to feel bad about the cost and definitely don't like the school 60,000 dollars worth. Ultimately after just my freshman year, i feel like there is something missing about this college experience. I feel isolated on campus, even though i have a car, which is a must. I feel alone a lot of the time even though I'm not. And I also miss home. Next year I am transferring to a school closer to home.
