First of all: Don't come here unless you know for a fact that you want to become an engineer! As said in previous comments, you will find this place to be hell if you are not determined from day 1.

Now for my personal experience: The proff. give ALOT of busy work, i do remember doing unnecessary amounts of work for my calculus classes (Proff. Musial is GREAT he teaches and has reasonable tests), even though I understood the concept from doing the first 10 problems.

The Physics proff. here are THE WORST! I had Proff Barea (spanish accent and cant teach for sh!t), Proff. Morrison (he has some neuro problem in his back which affects he speaking which is fine, but he mainly just babbles all through class) THE PHYSICS PROFF HERE ARE USELESS!!!! they make studying engineering at iit hell.

Proff. Meade is BORING, he does nothing to make the class interesting and somehow manages to make mechanics 1 hard for all the students. Proff. Shadden(Computational mechanics)(Thermodynamics) is addicted to using MatLab for all his assignments even though CS105 (intro to programming) uses C++ (prereq)f%ck tards.

Proff Wark…The professor for Fluid Mechanics is also bad. good luck with her.

This school has twice as many graduates as undergrads so make sure your ready for some very weird things. Also the school is 30-40% asian. WOA you might be able to learn some Chinese or hindi. There are only 30% girls.

The student population is also kinda bad. There are some good and kind people, BUT, YOU WILL HAVE TO GO TALK TO THEM! No one takes an initiative to talk to anyone else. There are quite a few spanish and african students but they do not include any other race. There are few white people and they are treated like sacred people.

When i was there I had trouble making friends with people my age. I expected equal compensation of friendship. If I say Hi, i expect someone I spoke to for 20 min the other day to say Hi back to me. But it rarely happens.

The guys are trolls here and very possessive of their female friends/girfriends(if they have one, alot of guys talk of their sexual prowless but are really F!cking lieing to your face, they enjoy giving each other sex advice, alot of them are wierdos). That is expected in a school with 30% women (only 10% of who are actually in demand). But, The women are even bigger trolls than the men, they think they are the hottest thing on the planet. IF you talk to a girl for a long time one day, the next day she will look the complete opposite way (trust me that happens to ALOT of guys)

If you REALLY want to come to this school, go to a community college for the first two years and then transfer in for the last two (you will save a lot of money), you will have skipped ALL THE FUCKIGN BAD TEACHERS. But I heard shit gets worse later on like in Heat- Mass transfer and some 30+pages of lab reports. HAHA.

I had three friends who were 28,26, and 29 when I was 19. I still didnt have any friends my age cuz they were too busy playing WoW and Magic and watching 24/7 anemy (the chiese cartoon) IN THE FUCKING COMMON LOUNGE FUCK OFF DO THAT SHIT IN YOUR ROOM. Nobody wants to hear AII OII Ching chong pin pong weaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! walking to and back from their room.

Overall this school is REALLY MESSED UP. If your from the chicago area and go home ALL THE TIME and can get OFF CAMPUS with your friends then you may survive. The people you see in the daytime at that school are not the people who stay at the school overnight, all the creepy weirdos stay.

Also a side note, people from the local area who have friends WILL NOT include you at all in their group. THIS SCHOOL IS VERY ANTI SOCIAL AND WILL GIVE YOU HEAD PROBLEMS LIKE ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION

ALSO!!!! GRADUATE MALE STUDENTS COMPETE WITH UNDERGRADUATE MALE STUDENTS FOR WOMEN!!!! SOME MEN USE THEIR TA POWERS TO GRAB UNDERGRADUATE WOMEN! IVE SEEN IT HAPPEN. most of the useful undergraduate girls will have graduate boyfriends who were once their TA's FUCK EM AND FUCK THAT SCHOOL. GO TO UIC INSTEAD.

ANYONE WHO SAYS THEY LIKE IIT IS LIEING OR IS A FUCKING WEIRD PSYCHOPATH IN DENIAL.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL! One of my friends from high school told me to stay away but i did not listen and I PAID THE PRICE!

This school has low standards and their retention rate is low. graduation rate in 4 years is under 30% and in 5 years is 60%. stay away, no employer knows this school very well. This school is a lie. even their employees hate it. Dont belive me? go talk to anyone at bursar, the career office (the most fucking useless people on the map, they don't even have an alumni contact book for internships or jobs). Go talk to Proff. Gosz ( he seem high most of the time). Proff Spenko and hes and ASS. Hes from MIT so i guess he can act this way, but cmon, have some love in your heart man.

Proff. S Nair, good luck understanding what he says, anything that comes out of his mouth… good luck! Proff. Kallend, WOW the most condescending man on that campus, your better off hitting your head against a wall to get answers instead of asking him a question.
