The school leaves much to be desired. I am almost done with my second semester of my freshmen year and this school is a joke. Half of the population drops out because of grades after the first semester or get kicked out because of drugs. Academically it made me feel like an idiot for attending the school. It is a good school if you have a specfic major in mind, like equine or auto, because it acctually has good programs for each. & good luck trying to transfer because almost no where takes the credits from SUNY Morrisville, the schools a joke.

The nightlife, if you can even call it that, is also undesirable. Over the last few years the schools "party" scene has gotten worse. There is only one bar in town so we have to share it with the locals. Nothing says a good time like getting hit on by a 50 year old redneck. Also, if sports teams have a game the next day expect morrisville to be dead, or your only option being the hills where there have been multiple stabbings and other violent crimes. Every weekends the parties usually die out around 2 am unless your up doing coke.

The campus consist of concrete buildings and no sense of architecture. U.P. is all over everything so if your going to smoke, which everyone on campus does, you need to know the spots. Within the first week you meet everyone you'll be friends with but they divide in half once the first semester is over. The campus consist of 49% rude city kids and 49% country kids who look down on anyone whose not from the same background as them. The other 2% just are hoping to get their GPA from high school and be out.

The athletics are the biggest joke. Greg Carrol either needs to be fired or do something different.

All in all the school is lacking. Most people use it as a springboard to better schools due to poor preformance in high school. About 70% of the people i have met here either dropped out or are/did transfer out. If you can go to another school I highly suggest you do.

The athletic director is a joke. I think he thinks he still in college himself! Very unprofessional and only care about mens sports!
