I live about 1.5 hours away from the school. I chose the school because it was instate and would be cheaper and just far away from home. I chose the nursing program here because it stated that everyone who takes the nclex passes the first time. This is because the senior year class is only around 10. I don't know much about the other programs. I know that music is really big here and this would probably be a good school for music majors. The programs here, though, do not tell you what to do and the advisors are horrible. I knew one girl who had to spend an extra year here because she didn't take a class she needed to for her major. She was never told that though. The dorms are normal and sometimes really gross, but you're living with tons of filthy people. I'm in Newbury hall and its not that bad but fairfield is ten times nicer. Litchfield is gross, DO NOT LIVE THERE. Danbury sucks and if you dont have a car, there's really nothing you can do for fun except catch a bus to walmart. woo!!! It rains so much here and the campus floods really easily. The dining sucks ass. Literally, i live off of easy mac and fruit rollups. The teachers that Ive had are nice and know what their teaching. I highly recommend Professor Tom Salvador. He teaches COM162. Its a night class but really he's the best teacher I've ever had. Really westconn (aka Bestconn to those trying to get you to come here and take your money, aka wasteconn to the rest of us) is a nice school at first glance but take my advice. If you're looking into nursing, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!!
