Hi, I was thinking of transferring and I wanted to know if I could ask you some questions? |
Major: English (This Major's Salary over time)
Wow. A lot of negative comments about this place. Anyway, I would like to start off by saying that Syracuse is exactly the type of school I've been looking for. It has great school pride, the campus is beautiful (snow, rain, or sun), and academics are pretty challenging, at least for me anyway. I am a transfer student so I can't really give a thorough analysis of the University but those are just some things that I have pointed out. As for campus life, a lot goes on. Its easy to go to parties every weekend and even on weekdays(though not recommended because of school work). The only con about the school has nothing to do with the school itself but some students. There are a lot of students that come off as snobby and self absorbed. A lot of people have mentioned that in there comments, but to be honest, thats inevitable any where you go to college. Not just Syracuse. Sure there are a lot of snobby people, but there are also a lot of nice people. It just takes a little more time to find them. Oh! Greek life is HUGE here and can get a little bit annoying because almost everyone is in a frat or sorority. As for food, many may complain about it, but I'd have to say thats its pretty decent. Trust me people, there is WORSE food out there! Like at my last college. In general, I love Syracuse. It has a lot of resources, people(very diverse), and is pretty much the full college experience.
