Going to school at Guilford is something I love. I have learned so much in my short time here without being given obscene amounts of work. Professors are generally approachable, and will send you e-mails or approach you if they sense that you're struggling. I love my major and my advisor within that. It's a beautiful campus with some okay resources.

My complaints come with my peers. I am surrounded by kids who would rather party than anything else, which is a highly unattractive quality. Serendipity is a drunken clusterfuck. There has been puke on the steps several times this year, along with cups and cans of alcohol left in the bathroom. My peers post pictures of themselves while partying on facebook. It's not the partying I have a problem with, necessarily, it's just the fact that the culture surrounds it. If you don't party, generally, you won't be socially involved. Many students are snobby, exclusionary hipsters who like to bitch about the fact that administration now outlaws bonfires (rightfully, in my opinion) or that their friends got kicked out (again rightfully- you break the rules, i.e. be stupid, you get the boot). That being said, I have met a few incredible people here, but with the strong modifier being "few". Maybe it's just a first year thing.

I like going to school here, I hate living here.

By the way, the food isn't as bad as most students make it out to be.
