The University is really what you decide to make of it. There are a lot of rich kids from California that can be snooty, but if you are not rich think about it this way. They may have money, but they go to the same school. Money does not mean a thing because all that money could not get them into a UC school. I really love the diversity and that there is always something interesting going on on the mall (the grassy area in the middle of campus). I highly suggest to find your own community because that will help with study groups, social scence, ect. Whether that be greek life, in your major, a student group, a religious group, or one of the 4 multi-cultural centers.
