Major: Music - Composition/Theory (This Major's Salary over time)
This is the worst possible place to be. Professors are terrible. Steven Strunk was a genius and the salvation of the theory department. Now that he has passed away and no one will take his place I have been told that my degree is no longer worth the paper it was printed on. Faculty does not care about your learning at all. If you are not willing to play the game with them you will get nothing. Many times creativity will be stifled "in accordance with Catholic Doctrine". I know that the school is run by the Vatican and I have been Catholic my whole life but CUA seems to enforce that policy on whim and as it is convenient for them. Expect degree requirements to change frequently. Do not come to this place expecting to graduate in 4 years. It is not possible, mainly because classes are frequently cancelled due to low enrollment. The university rides on its former success without doing anything to cultivate positive atmosphere or academic success in the present time.
