USD is indeed a school for a particular kind of student, i.e. anti-intellectual, superficial blond rich kids. The campus is beautiful, and so are the people (I say that with more than a hint of irony and sarcasm.) If you're a smart rich kid, you'll look up north and consider Reed College, or better yet go east and look at Bennington, Sarah Lawrence, or Bates.
