Hunter College takes a lot of pride to make sure that they are the best valued college in the nation.  But do not be fooled.  Although the tuition is cheap, the quality education for Biochemistry, which is my major, is not worth the cost.  Majority of the professors are focused on their research, so they do not want to spend time teaching students, but they have to, in order to make sure they get the funding they need for their research.

Most of the science classes at Hunter College are horrible.  Several reasons include bad professors, limited resources, and the material that is expected for students to learn.  For example, the intro biology course at Hunter is ridiculous.  They treat the class as if it is a graduate course.  You wonder why many students with great potential to become doctors end up quitting pre-med or taking the course somewhere else.  The school obviously does not care, because they want to build a reputation of being “the poor man's Harvard University”, so that they can get publicity, fame, and power.

The security level at the school is bad.  In the library, there are homeless people living inside the library on the back corner of the floor.  There is even rats crawling around the floor of the library.  It's disgusting.  “Hunter's prestige meets innovation” HA !  what a joke.

Because of my horrible experience at Hunter College, and my unfortunate financial and life problems, the school decided to kick me out of the school, with no chance of getting back into the school now that Hunter is being very strict with the admission process.  Whatever you do, do not go to Hunter College.  If you are a prospective Post-Bac student, don't go to this school.  You will regret it for the rest of your life.
