Major: Chemical Engineering (This Major's Salary over time)
I just finished my second year at S&T and I am not sad to be leaving. It's an extremely difficult school with core classes that are designed to fail a large % of the students. I felt like most of the professors went out of their way to make things difficult rather than going out of their way to make sure you learn something. That would be referring to science, engineering, and math classes- any other kind of class (English, philosophy, psych, history) is EXTREMELY easy and boring. Social life pretty much sucks. Most of the students who attend this school are extremely socially awkward nerds. The only people I think are "normal" are involved in Greek life. Greek life is fun but nothing like Greek life on other campuses. Even including Greek life though, you're lucky if you find a party twice a week. Overall, I did not hate my time here, I had fun when possible and made good friends that I will keep in touch with. I plan on transferring to mizzou and rejoining my sorority there where I will fit in better and double majoring in biochem and sociology. If you FOR SURE want to be an engineer and don't plan on having much of a social life, by all means go here. Students practically have jobs offers, internships and co-ops thrown at them. But if you're considering any other major this is not the place to be.
