The amount of negative reviews on here is startling. I loved every second of Mercer University. I was never bored. Greek Life is amazing and really can't be compared to Greek Life at a bigger school like UGA. It was something I never intended to do, but after I decided to give it a try, I can't imagine what my undergrad experience would have been like without my Sorority experience. As for the "snobby" people. I didn't encounter any more at Mercer than I did anywhere else I've been. Don't let that close-minded and jaded comment be a deterrent. It's expensive, yes. But if you're awesome, you can get a scholarship, which is what I did. Basically, if you're not interested in getting involved on campus or in the community, don't go to Mercer. Go to UGA where the University and the town can serve you. Mercer is a place that give you the opportunity to serve others. That's the great thing about Mercer, the students run the campus. Everyone is involved in a ton of different organizations and at the end of your amazing 4 (or 5) years, you really felt like you've left your mark on the university. That's what I wanted and that's what I got. If you want drunk people yelling at each other and stumbling down the street several nights a week, then by all means go to UGA. Although, Mercer is not without its party scene. People still manage to have that sort of a good time here. Honestly, you should know in your heart whether or not you're UGA or a Mercer kind of person. I'm a Mercer gal through and through. I loved it. I wish I could go back and do it again and again. Hail to thee, Mercer University! You're pretty badass.
