Major: Biology (This Major's Salary over time)
The Bad: Each class costs about $2100! The incomming freshman scholarships are good but the best will only pay about 1/3 of the cost. It's pretty expensive and unless you're in line for some major financial aid cash you'll be paying for most of it out of pocket or in loans. The food choices are terrible on campus. There's the cafeteria with burgers and pizza and then some sort of chicken everyday and then a quiznos and smoothie place. Plus you're charged PER food item you get and everything closes at 7:00pm. The school won't allow you to take summer school anywhere but there. The core requirement needs a ton of Theology and Philosophy classes that are NOT blowoff classes. They require alot of work and reading and are all Catholic based (due to it being a Catholic University). The Biology Program also does Service Learning Projects where they expect you to find community service projects having to do with the subject and log in a certain amount of hours.

The Good: The campus is beautiful with lots of trees, it's like a big park. Dorms are the best I've seen and living in them was a good experience. Of course you're in downtown Houston so there's always something to do and even though it's "dry campus" there's house parties and clubs to go to every day of the week. Also you get into things like the zoo and museums for free if you're into that kind of thing. The Biology program is top notch and extremely challenging and the staff is extremely helpful with anything you may need. The campus is small so you're teacher will know you're name and you'll be saying hey to everyone you pass on your way to classes because everybody knows everybody (if you like that).
