Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
I decided to go to OCU because I had heard it was a great school where you were treated with respect and would receive a superior education. I just completed the nursing program and must say I have never been so disappointed and felt so ripped off in my life and this was not my first degree and I was not a naive youngster. In fact I am older adult with a masters degree from a different university. For anyone considering this program you would be better off on a wait list or in an associates program because at the Kramer School of Nursing what you get for what you pay is insulting. The professor's were terrible and never seemed to know more than what the book offered. If you ever asked for a deeper explanation they could never provide one. I almost felt embarrassed for them to be honest. They were rude, dismissive and extremely disorganized. Despite having a syllabus and a calender they had no regard for it often changing the days and times of classes at will so if you were a working student as I was you would have to miss work to come to class on some random day of their choosing. I spent 15 years in the corporate world before deciding to return to school and I must say that in the real world this type of disorganization and unprofessionalism would not be tolerated and the individual in charge would have been removed. Instead at KSN they treat the students like 2nd class citizens with such a lack of respect or for that matter dignity. As a returning adult it was an insult to be treated like a delinquent and as a parent it was infuriating to witness young adults being demoralized in this fashion. While I have successfully completed my program I can not stress enough if you are considering this school seriously reconsider. If you are a parent of a child considering this program I urge you look at other less expensive programs. While no institution is perfect and every nursing program will have its issues, I doubt you will find a program that is so out of sink with its mission statement. Seriously don't fall for this bait and switch, save yourself the headache and your hard earned money.
