Major: Nursing (This Major's Salary over time)
This university looks pretty when you visit however, incoming freshman and transfer students, beware that once you live here, it is not pretty, actually more dreadful and stressful. The freshman meal plan is absolute crap, unless you like having just about the same choices everyday like pizza and pasta, which will have you on the fast track to the freshman fifteen (just saying, construction during classes makes it hard to hear your professor and learn the material. The professors I find are half and half, some are really good and the others are just crap. Also keep in mind, they get paid whether you pass or not. If you're taking a large number of credit hours, it will be very hard to get a good gpa even if you work your butt off everyday and every night. The city itself isn't really convenient.. the mall is dinky and really it looks like there's a lot of things but its mainly restaurants… All of the people I knew from back home already transferred before the second semester started. Oh and the dorms are crap too. Very expensive for a tiny space with community bathrooms (that are so disgusting even the janitors refuse to clean it sometimes and will charge fines to have it cleaned). The halls are always noisy, so don't plan on getting a good nights sleep. Also as far as roommates go, make sure you know your roommate well before you pick them (if you get that opportunity) because you may think they are a nice person but, the saying "you don't really know a person until you live with them" is sooooooo true! I feel like not living on campus would have made this year 20x better but unfortunately, you have to live on campus as a freshman who does not maintain a permanent residence less than 50 mi away. I do not recommend this university to anyone really.
